ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The University of New Mexico women’s swimming and diving head coaches Tracy Ljone and Abel Sanchez have announced the signing of another swimmer and the first diver to the 2006-07 team. The freshman swim class is now a total of six and each swimmer is looking to be a great addition to the team. The first diver recruit, Mary-Beth Geeze, originates from New Mexico.

“Mary-Beth comes from a gymnastics background which will help her in the years to come,” Sanchez said. “She’s had a late start but I think she’s talented and capable of catching up with the rest of the field and one day competing at the NCAA Championships. Her strength and athletic abilities are tremendous and I truly think we can all look for great things out of Mary-Beth.”

Kelly will join incoming freshmen Theresa Rogers (Bear, Del.), Ashley Grisdale, (Gig Harbor, Wash.), Micaela Hoglund (Toronto, Ontario), Lisa Toelle (Elm Grove, Wis.) and Jennifer Patterson (Albuquerque, N.M.) as members of the 2006-07 Lobo team.
