ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Lobo Volleyball and head Coach Kelley McKee announced the addition of Anna Lehne (Pueblo, Colo./Pueblo County) to the 2006 recruiting class today. Lehne will join Jade Michaelsen, Rose Morris, and Allison Suiter in rounding out the group of four newcomers who will arrive on campus in August.

High School: As a middle blocker for the Pueblo County High School Hornets and head coach Howard Mestas, Lehne garnered All-State Honorable Mention Honors in 2003, 2004, and 2005. In recognition of an outstanding 2005 season, she was named the Most Valuable Player of the Southern Colorado League and was placed on the all-league first team for the second straight year. Lehne also enjoyed a highly successful basketball career, earning All-State Honorable Mention honors in 2003, 2004, and 2005. Lehne is also in her third year with the Colorado Springs Altitude Volleyball Club and plays for head coach Kris Adkins.

Lehne is a four-year member of the Honor Roll, has received four varsity letters in both volleyball and basketball and is a DECA State Qualifier.

McKee on Lehne: “We’re excited to add Anna to our 2006 recruiting class and to the New Mexico volleyball program. Anna will immediately add depth and stability to the Middle Blocking position. She comes to New Mexico as a talented two-sport athlete out of high school and is a physically gifted individual. We’re looking forward to Anna’s transition into collegiate volleyball and know that she will develop into a versatile six-rotation Middle Blocker. We feel fortunate to add such a quality person, student, and athlete to our program.”
