ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The University of New Mexico women’s swimming team signed Lisa Toelle (Elm Grove, Wis./Brookfield East High School) today to join the Lobos in the 2006-07 season.
Toelle is looking to be an asset for the Lobos in the breaststroke, backstroke and individual medley. Toelle swam for the Elmbrook Swim Club and was the 2004 USA Swimming Scholastic All American and All State Honorable Mention. In 2003 she received the Coaches Award and was the 2002-03 Most Valuable Player. Toelle was also the Wisconsin State Champion in the 200-yard breast and 400-yard IM. To add to her list of credits Toelle was the Jr. National Qualifier in the 100- and 200-yard breast, 100-yard back and 200-yard IM. Toelle currently has an academic interest in Health Science and Physical Therapy.
The Lobos are preparing to have a great 2006-07 season and Toelle will be a great addition.
