GOODYEAR, Arizona – The Lobo men’s junior varsity golf team finished tied for ninth at the Ron Moore Invitational in Goodyear, Arizona. New Mexico finished at 5-under par (277-283-299=859) on the par-72, 7,015 yard Palm Valley Golf Club. The team title went to Louisville at 28-under par, one stroke in front of Nebraska.

UNM was led by freshman Nick Geyer who finished tied for third at 12- under par (66-66-72=204). Other Lobo results are freshman Travis Reid tied for 30th at 1-under par (69-75-71=215), freshman Jacob Lestishen tied for 57th at 4-over par (74-69-77=220), freshman Dan Saltz tied for 7-over par (71-73-79=223) and freshman Guillermo Chavez tied for 84th at 9-over par (71-75-79=225).

Medalist honors went to James Love of Denver at 17-under par, four strokes in front of Brady Schnell of Nebraska.

The New Mexico junior varsity returns to action on March 27-28 at the Mustang Invitational in Albuquerque.
