HUMBLE, Texas – The University of New Mexico men’s golf team finished 12th at the Hall of Fame Invitational in Humble, Texas. The Lobos shot a 17-over par 305 in the final round and finished 59-over par (309-309-305=923) on the par-72, 7,352 yard Redstone Golf Club. The overall team title went to Oklahoma State at 16-over par and won by 10 strokes over Texas A&M.

UNM was led by senior Jay Choi who finished tied for 17th at 9-over par (77-72-76=225). Other Lobo results were sophomore Robb Bierbaum tied for 44th at 15-over par (79-77-75=231), junior Charlie Beljan (80-81-76=237) and senior Mark Anderson (79-80-78=237) tied for 72nd at 21-over par and freshman Steve Saunders tied for 74th at 22-over par (74-80-84=238).

The individual title went to Anthony Kim of Oklahoma at 8-under par and he defeated Jonathan Moore of Oklahoma State by eight strokes.

Up next for the Lobos is the National Invitational in Tucson, Arizona. The UNM JV will be in action Mar. 20-23 at the Ron Moore Invitational in Goodyear, Arizona. Full results of the Hall of Fame Invitational can be found at www.golfstat.com
