Regarding starting Jeff Hart
“We didn’t start him because it was senior night. He’s had a great week at practice. We need another shooter, we tried Kellen (Walter) off of some adjustments we made offensively and we just needed somebody that could get a little more separation. I know it will sound like I’m trying to look like I know what I’m doing but we were going to start him regardless of senior night.”
Regarding the scoring run right before the half:
“Considering we’re not setting the world on fire offensively that stretch was huge. We are grinding things out and I don’t know if I’ve had a group that defended as well as this team has. Over the second half of the conference season we looked very inconsistent shooting the ball from the perimeter. But I’ll you what, as inconsistent as we are on the offensive end we are as consistent on the defensive end.”
On our defensive game plan
“We wanted to be very vanilla, we’ve got some stuff we’ve been working on but obviously I wanted to be plain Jane so this tape can’t be used to scout.”

“Well Obviously it was a good game for New Mexico. Their kids played hard and did things that they needed to do.
They rebounded the ball well. We dug ourselves in a hole and couldn’t quite get out of it in the second half.”
