Head Coach Ritchie McKay
“I’m sure the first question will be we didn’t score in the last four minutes, didn’t score a field goal. I can’t put my finger on that, we weren’t the aggressor but other than that I was really pleased with our play. The first half we were very stagnant team other than the start, we started well. With Dave (Chiotti) getting two fouls we kind of played our way through the half, I didn’t think we were very purposeful in our cuts. I didn’t think we were great in our execution, but I expected a little bit of a letdown after being 3-0 and having won three in a row. We have to continue to remember that when you come back to the Pit, just because it is the Pit doesn’t mean you will get a W. Defensivley in the second half we were
tremendous. You can look in the stats, I don’t know the
last time I’ve seen a Wyoming team score 45 points. They are always aggressive, they always have good offensive players, our guys did a heck of a job on them. ”

Regarding making adjustments with Mark Walters in the second half
“Yeah we didn’t post him anymore. They got off Justin Williams guard to guard, Tony (Danridge) usually or Kyle (Prochaska). He was just going to wait for Mark to make a move and then try to block his shot, and he’s very adept.
He has excellent timing. Justin Williams is an excellent, excellent defensive player. I don’t know what stats were for tonight. He had no blocks, we did a great job avoiding his blocks. ”

Regarding Brandon Ewing and the difference between this game and in Laramie
“We needed to know where he was every time. He hit four 3’s in Laramie and it hurt us badly. So our guys were there on the catch and we wanted to make him bounce a little bit. We did a good job in changing defenses and not letting them get a rhythm”

Head Coach Steve McClain
Regarding not being able to win close games
“Sometimes you get a little lucky and we can’t seem to get a little luck here. The kids are fighting their butts off and when we got down ten and I told the kids that they had a choice; they either fought for four more minutes or you just gave in. We fought our butts off and came right back at the end. I wish we’d had that time keeper at Air Force, we’d have been in a lot better shape.”

Regarding the end of the game
“The kids did a great job. We struggled shooting the ball, but our defense kept us where he had a chance to win the game, and again that’s kind of been our trademark. We guard, and we had some great looks there in the second half when we were up one. We were right there and kept getting great looks at a 3. We just had some good looks that don’t go down. But again I give the kids a lot of credit, they fought really hard.
