COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – A total of 348 student-athletes were named 2005 Fall semester Academic All-Mountain West. To be eligible for selection student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor on their athletic team.
BYU led the conference with 60 student-athletes named to the team, followed by Utah (58), Wyoming (47), New Mexico (35), UNLV (34), Air Force (33), Colorado State (31), TCU (27) and San Diego State (23).
The women’s soccer team led the Lobos with 12 making the team. Football posted 11, followed by women’s cross country with seven and volleyball with five. The honorees representing New Mexico are:
