TUCSON, Ariz. – The University of New Mexico men’s golf team is currently fifth through almost 36-holes, with play suspended in the second round of the PING Arizona Intercollegiate. The Lobos are currently 6-under par on the par-71, 6,793 yard Tucson National Golf Course. Host Arizona has the overall lead at 23-under par and leads BYU by four strokes.

Individually UNM was led by senior Jay Choi who is currently 5-under par and tied for seventh. Freshman Steve Saunders is also in the top-20, tied for 15th at 3-under par. Other Lobo results are senior Mark Anderson and freshman Nick Geyer are tied for 29th at 1-over par, junior Charlie Beljan is tied for 77th at 13-over par, freshman Travis Reid is tied for 38th at 3-over par playing as an individual and freshman Daniel Saltz is 88th at 20-over par also playing as an individual.

The individual lead belongs to Henry Liaw of Arizona at 9-under par and leads three other players by two strokes.
