ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The University of New Mexico men’s golf team will open the spring season looking to defend their title at the PING Arizona Intercollegiate on January 30-31. The Lobos last year shot 12-under par 840 to claim the title. The PING Arizona Intercollegiate will feature 16 teams with 36-holes played on Monday and 18-holes on Tuesday, beginning at 8:00 a.m. Traveling to Tucson along with Coach Glen Millican will be seniors Jay Choi and Mark Anderson, junior Charlie Beljan and freshmen Steve Saunders and Nick Geyer. Also traveling to the tournament and playing as individuals are freshmen Travis Reid and Dan Saltz.

THE COURSE: The PING Arizona Intercollegiate will be played at the 6,900 yard, par-71 Arizona National Golf Club at Sabino Springs.

RESULTS: The results can be found on the University of New Mexico website at www.golobos.com. or on the golfstat website at www.golfstat.com where live scoring will be available.

PING ARIZONA INTERCOLLEGIATE FIELD: The PING Arizona Intercollegiate will be made up of a tough field of 16 teams, including four ranked in the top-25 according to the GCAA/Bridgestone Coaches Poll. The field includes: Arizona, Arizona JV, Arizona State, BYU. Cal, Cal-Irvine, Denver, New Mexico, New Mexico State, Oregon, Oregon State, Pepperdine, Texas, Texas A&M, UTEP and Tulsa.
