ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The University of New Mexico swimming and diving team will be in Flagstaff, Ariz. for their fifth dual meet of the season on Dec. 3 beginning at 11:00 a.m. This will be the second time this season that the Lobos will face the Lumberjacks of NAU. NAU was present at the Lobo Invitational on Nov. 4-5 where the Lobos placed third of four teams falling to Colorado State by 424 points and to NAU by just over 50 points.

Going into the meet the Lobos are 1-5 overall and 0-4 in conference competition. The top swimmer for the Lobos is senior Robyn Miller. In recent competitons Miller has set new personal bests in the 400-yard individual medley, 500-yard freestyle and the 200-yard butterfly.

Sophomore diver Carrie Quinn is the top diver for the Lobos. Quinn has swept the first place spots on both the 1-meter springboard and the 3-meter springboard three times this season.

LAST YEAR vs. NAU: NAU defeated the Lobos in 2004 in a relay meet in Flagstaff, Ariz. taking first in six out of seven events to win 79-52.

THE FUTURE FOR THE LOBOS: After completing the meet in Flagstaff, which will be the last meet of the fall portion of the season, the Lobos will have over a month break. Competition for the Lobos will resume Jan. 13, 2006 in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Utes will be the Lobos fifth conference competitor of the season. Competion will begin at 5 p.m.

The follwing day, Jan. 14, 2006, the Lobos will be in Provo, Utah for another conference dual meet against the Cougars of BYU. Competiton for this meet will begin at 12 p.m.
