LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The University of New Mexico junior varsity men’s golf team is 13th after two rounds at the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate. The Lobos shot rounds of 306 and 290 at the par-72, 7,074 yard, New Mexico State University Golf Course for 20-over par after 36 holes. The team lead belongs to Texas-Arlington and Idaho at 3-under par.

Individually UNM was led by senior Mark Anderson who shot rounds of 73 and 71. Anderson is tied for 12th at even par. Other Lobo results are freshman Nick Geyer is tied for 27th at 2-over par (75-71=146), freshman Dan Saltz is tied for 61st at 8-over par (78-74=152), freshman Steve Saunders is tied for 69th at 11-over par (81-74=155) and Jacob Lestishen is tied for 73rd at 14-over par (80-78=158).

The individual lead belongs to Dylan Hill of Idaho and Chris Gresh of Utah who are both 5-under par.

The final round of the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate is Tuesday with tee times beginning around 8:30 a.m.
