COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 3 UNM doubles team of Iva Gersic and Maja Kovacek advanced to the semifinal round in the doubles main draw after defeating TCU’s Anna Sydorska and Helena Besovic, 8-3 at the ITA National Individual Indoor November 4, 2005.
The duo will compete Saturday morning in the semifinal round against Alice Barnes and Anna Yelsey from Stanford.
Gersic and Kovacek’s win in the quarterfinal ranked them among the top two in the country.
