The 15th-ranked University of New Mexico women’s golf team moved up one spot to finish in sixth place at the Landfall Tradition in Wilmington, N.C. UNM was the two-time defending champions. Playing with three true freshman in the lineup, the Lobos had their best round of the tournament – a 13-over 301 – to end at 65-over 929. However, that was 52 shots behind tournament champion and fifth-ranked Purdue. The Boilermakers scorched the course with a 2-under 286 today to easily outdistance the field, beating 13th-ranked Wake Forest by 17 stokes. Complete results are available at www.golfstat.com.
