WINDEMERE, Fla. – The University of New Mexico men’s golf team is currently tied for 15th at the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational. The Lobos shot rounds of 299 and 301 to finish with a 36-hole total of 24-over par on the par-72, 7,493 yard Isleworth Country Club Course. The overall team lead belongs to Wake Forest at 7-under par and they are one stroke ahead of Georgia.
Individually UNM was led by senior Jay Choi who is tied for ninth. Choi shot rounds of 68 and 76 for a 36-hole score of even par. Other Lobo results were junior Charlie Beljan is tied for 35th at 4-over par (78-70=148), freshman Guillermo Chavez is tied for 68th at 11-over par (76-79=155), freshman Travis Reid is tied for 77th at 14-over par (77-81=158) and sophomore Robb Bierbaum is tied for 81st at 15-over par (83-76=159).
The individual lead belongs to Sean Moore of Wake Forest at 6-under par (69-69=138) and leads three other players by one stroke.
