SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – University of New Mexico sophomore Lucy Scott advanced to the round of 32 in the singles main draw at the Wilson/ITA Central Region Championships Thursday October 20, 2005.
Singles player Nora Quintal will be playing in the consolation round tomorrow after losing to Susan McClelland from Northern Arizona, 6-3, 6-2.
The No. 3 doubles team of Iva Gersic and Maja Kovacek did not compete in the main doubles draw this year. The duo already won berth into the National Indoor Championships by making it to the semifinals in the All-American Championships in early October and opted to not play in theCentral Region Championships.
