HOUSTON, Texas – The University of New Mexico men’s golf team finished third at the 19-team Hall of Fame Invitational. The Lobos shot a 3-over par 291 in the final round and finished at 1-over par 865 (292-282-291) on the par-72, 7,352 yard Redstone Golf Club. The team championship went to top ranked Oklahoma State who finished at 18-under par.
Individually UNM was led by junior Spencer Levin who shot a final round 3-under par 69 to finish tied for fourth at 5-under par (70-72-69=211). Other Lobo results were sophomore Charlie Beljan tied for 11th at 2-under par (69-71-74=214), junior Jay Choi tied for 20th at 2-over par (76-68-74=218), senior Madalitso Muthiya tied for 68th at 11-over par (77-76-74=227) and junior Mark Anderson tied for 72nd nat 12-over par (80-71-77=228).
Medalist honors went to UNLV’s Ryan Moore, who finished at 10-under par.
The Lobos return to the course on Mar. 27-29 for the Wal-Mart bInvitational in Tucson, Ariz.
