Lobos Move Up to a Tie for Third at Hall of Fame Invitational

HOUSTON, Texas – The University of New Mexico mens’s golf team moved up to a tie for third at the 19-team Hall of Fame Invitational. The Lobos shot a 6-under par 282 today and are now 2-under par for the tournament on the par-72, 7,352 yard Redstone Golf Club. UNM trails leader Oklahoma State by 12-strokes as they shot a 18-under par 270 today.

Individually New Mexico was led today by junior Jay Choi who moved up 36 spots to a tie for 16th with a 4-under par 68 and is now even for the tournament. Sophomore Charlie Beljan continues to lead the Lobos at 4-under par (69-71=140) and is tied for fourth. Other individual Lobo results are junior Spencer Levin is tied for ninth at 2-under par (70-72=142), junior Mark Anderson is tied for 60th at 7-over par (80-71=151) and senior Madalitso Muthiya is tied for 72nd at 9-over par (77-76=153).

The individual lead belongs to Ryan Moore of UNLV at 6-under par, who leads by a single stroke.
