LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The University of New Mexico men’s golf team finished in a tie for 10th place at the Southern Highlands Collegiate Championship. Competing against 15-teams all ranked in the top-25, the Lobos struggled on the final round and finished the tournament at 32-over par (303-289-304=896). The team championship went to host UNLV who ran away with the tournament at 9-under par (294-281-280=855).

Individually UNM was led by junior Spencer Levin who finished 1-under par (73-67-75=215) tied for sixth. Other Lobo results are junior Jay Choi tied for 40th at 9-over par (76-71-78=225), sophomore Charlie Beljan tied for 50th at 10-over par (76-74-76=226), junior Mark Anderson tied for 60th at 15-over par (79-77-75=231) and senior Miguel Griego tied for 76th at 26-over par (78-83-81=242).

Medalist honors went to Daniel Im of UCLA who finished tied with Mark Anderson of South Carolina at 7-under par, nut won the tournament in a playoff.

The Lobos return to the course on March 18-20 at the Hall of Fame Invitational in Houston, Texas.
