The 2005 All-Mountain West Conference teams were announced today and the Lobos had five players recognized for their play during the conference season. The teams are selected by media and coaches from the eight members of the Mountain West Conference and voting is based solely on conference play.

After averaging 16.7 ppg and 7.3 rpg in 11 conference games, Lobo senior Danny Granger was named to the first team for the second year in a row. Senior Troy DeVries, the conference’s all-time leader in overall 3-pt. FG% (46.4) and 3-pt. FG% during conference play (48.0), was named to the third team along with junior David Chiotti. Chiotti averaged 11.6 ppg in 14 Mountain West Conference games this season. Both Chiotti and DeVries were honorable mention All-MWC selections last season. Senior Alfred Neale and junior Mark Walters earned their first All-MWC recognition, earning honorable mention.
