New Mexico Takes Game From Colorado State, 55-47

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) – Danny Granger had 11 points and 10 rebounds to
lead New Mexico over Colorado State 55-47 on Saturday night.
Ryan Wall added 12 points, and Alfred Neale had 10 for New Mexico (17-5, 4-3
Mountain West) in a sloppy game for both teams.
New Mexico shot 31 percent from the field, but Colorado State (9-11, 1-6)
shot just 30 percent. The Lobos also scored 13 points off turnovers.
New Mexico used an 11-3 run to pull ahead 48-38 with less than six minutes
to go, but Colorado State was within three twice in the last 2 minutes. Seven
free throws by New Mexico sealed the victory for the Lobos.
Matt Nelson scored 16 for CSU, and Sean Morris had 15 points and a
career-high nine rebounds, but no other Rams scored in double digits.
