The University of New Mexico women’s basketball team plays host to MWC rival Colorado State on Saturday afternoon. The Lobos enter the contest 16-3 on the season and 5-1 in the MWC, while the Rams are 13-6 overall and 4-2 in the conference. Tip-off at The Pit is scheduled for 2:00 P.M. on Saturday afternoon and will be broadcast live on College Sports Television and can be heard locally on KNML 610 AM.

TONIGHT’S GAME:Tonight’s game features the Lobos of the University of New Mexico hosting the Rams of Colorado State University in a Mountain West Conference matchup.

SCOUTING NEW MEXICO:The Lobos enter tonight’s game with a 16-3 record and 5-1 in the MWC with losses to No. 7 Texas (75-56), No.11 Minnesota (75-35) and UNLV (63-60) and wins at New Mexico State (57-44) and Oklahoma State (60-56) and home wins over Missouri (67-58), Gonzaga (76-54), Bowling Green (73-43), San Diego (58-50), No. 23 Arizona State (61-45), New Mexico State (56-27), San Francisco (63-52), Morgan State (101-22), Utah Valley State (69-29), Air Force (72-58), BYU (64-51), Utah (61-55), San Diego St. (72-53) and Wyoming (62-49). New Mexico’s leading scorer on the season is senior Lindsey Arndt at 10.5 ppg, followed by freshman Dionne Marsh at 10.3 ppg. Arndt also leads the Lobos in rebounding at 6.3 rpg. and senior Mandi Moore leads UNM in assists at 5.5 apg.

SCOUTING COLORADO STATE:The Rams enter the contest with a 13-6 record and are 4-2 in the MWC, with wins over San Francisco 72-64, Iona 108-59, UAB 82-57, Pepperdine 64-58, Texas Pan American 77-36, Tennessee Martin 95-49, Northern Colorado 69-59, Denver 67-47, Montana 65-53, San Diego State 63-50, UNLV 69-66, Wyoming 61-51 and Air Force 62-49 and losses to Notre Dame 69-47, Colorado 83-77, Oregon 66-57, Connecticut 63-44, Utah 68-50 and BYU 74-54. CSU is led in scoring by Melissa Dennett at 14.9 ppg. Lindsay Thomas leads the Rams in rebounding at 8.6 rpg. and Vanessa Espinoza leads the team in assists at 3.4 apg.
