TUCSON, Ariz. – The University of New Mexico men’s golf team is currently fifth at the Arizona Intercollegiate after a round and a half. Play was suspended midway through the second round due to darkness. The Lobos shot an opening round 5-over par 289 on the par-71, 6,793 yard Arizona National Golf Course. UNM is 1-under par in the second round for 4-over par for the tournament.

Individually for the Lobos, Spencer Levin leads the way at 3-under par with a first round 70 and is 2-under in the second round for a tie for third. Other UNM results are Miguel Griego is 1-over par in a tie for 23rd, Jay Choi is 2-over par tied for 31st, Charli Beljan is 6-over par in a tie for 53rd, Mark Anderson is 7-over par in a tie for 57th and Jeb Gruenberger playing as an individual is 88th at 22-over par.

The team lead belongs to BYU at 8-under par, followed by Tulsa at 6-under par. The individual lead belongs to Alejandro Canizares of Arizona State at 9-under par.

The continuation of the second round and the entire third round is scheduled for tommorrow.
