ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The University of New Mexico women’s basketball team is ranked No. 25 in the latest Associated Press Poll released on Monday afternoon. It is the first time in school history that the Lobos have cracked the AP Top 25. UNM did finish the 2002-03 season ranked No. 22 in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches Poll.
“The ranking is a compliment to both our players and our program,” Flanagan said. “It also says a lot about our schedule and the early success we have had this season.”
New Mexico returns to action on Friday, December 31, against San Francisco at The Pit. Tip-off is set for 4:00 P.M. on Friday. Complete rankings below:
