AUSTIN, Texas – Senior Becca Barras finished in fifth place with a score of 481.40 on the 3-meter board at the Texas Longhorn Invitational. Barras started in fourth during the preliminaries after turning in a score of 290.95. She then ranked up 484.15 points in the semifinals.
Sophomore Carrie Quinn placed 19th on the 3-meter board with a score of 215.40.
The Lobos currently reside in 10th place with 14 points but are only participating in the diving portion of the tournament while Arizona State, Wisconsin, Texas, and Hawaii are all competing in both. Nebraska, Southern Methodist, Wyoming, UCLA, Texas Christian, Southern Cal, Arizona, and California are competing on the boards.
The New Mexico women’s diving team returns to the pool for the 1-meter board tomorrow, followed by the platform on Saturday.
