ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Seniors David Kowalski and Ryan Stotland were eliminated from competition at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) National Indoor Championships this morning at the University of Michigan Varsity Tennis Center. The 24th-ranked Lobo duo fell 8-6 to LSU’s Mark Growcott and Ken Skupski in the consolation bracket semifinals. Growcott is ranked 28th nationally when paired with Jason Hazley while Skupski is ranked 38th nationally when teamed with Peter Richman.

This week’s event, which concludes Sunday, is the second of three national tournaments during the 2004-05 collegiate tennis season. The ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships were inaugurated in 1978 for the men and 1984 for the women. For more information and complete results, visit www.itatennis.com.

The Lobos have completed fall competition and will resume action in the spring. They open the season at the ITA Mountain Team Playoffs in Boise, Idaho on Jan. 22.
