ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Seniors David Kowalski and Ryan Stotland earned the top doubles ranking in Region VII announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) today. Stotland also brings home the Lobos’ highest singles ranking in the region, claiming seventh.

Freshmen Max Jones and Kamil Pajkowski also received a regional ranking, taking 14th, the highest for an all-freshmen duo this year.

In singles, Jones ranks 12th, the second highest for a freshman behind Boise State’s Luke Shields (4th). Kowalski also made the singles rankings, taking 13th.

The national rankings will be announced Jan. 11, 2005.

The Lobos kick off their 2005 season on Jan. 22 at the ITA Region VII Team Playoffs hosted by Boise State. The Lobos open against Colorado at 12 p.m. and with a win, would face the winner of Boise State/UNLV at 6 p.m.
