EL PASO, TEXAS – Junior Spencer Levin of the University of New Mexico men’s golf team finished tied for sixth at the 54-hole Western Refining College All-American Golf Classic. Levin entered the final round in second place, but struggled on the final 18-holes to finish in a tie for sixth among 30 of the top college golfers in the country. Levin shot a 4-under par 209 (70-64-75) on the 6,817 yard par-71 El Paso Country Club.
The champion of the tournament was Nicholas Thompson of Georgia Tech who won a playoff against Matthew Rosenfeld of Texas. Both players finished the tournament at 9-under par.
The University of New Mexico will return to the course in the spring.
