The Lobos (4-1) lose their first game of the season, 79-75, to the Ducks (2-0). Oregon shot 50.0% (26-52) from the floor, the first time this season a Lobo opponent has hit 50% or better against New Mexico.

Senior forward Danny Granger scored a season-high 19 points and 14 rebounds for his 20th career double-double and his ninth as a Lobo. He also had a season-high four blocks and four steals in the game.

New Mexico led by two, 45-43, at the half, but went 3 for 17 to open the second period, allowing the Ducks to build a eight-point lead. UNM cut the lead to one-point, 65-64, at the 6:48 mark on a basket by Troy DeVries. Oregon ran off eight-straight points to push the lead back to nine points on a bucket by Bryce Taylor at the 3:37 mark. New Mexico cut that lead to two points, 73-71, on a pair of free-throws by David Chiotti, but could not take the lead.

UNM shot 53% (17-32) from the field in the first half, but hit 26% (8-31) in the second period. The Lobos also went 12-19 from the FT line in the second half.
