The University of New Mexico will continue their road trip on Tuesday, November 23, when they travel to Oklahoma State. Both teams enter the contest with 1-0 records, as UNM is coming off a 57-44 win at New Mexico State, while OSU defeated Nicholls State 83-49 at home. Tip-off for Tuesday night is approximately 7:30 p.m. (MST) at Gallagher-Iba Arena and can be heard live on 610 AM KNML The Sports Animal.

TONIGHT’S GAME:Tonight’s game features the Lobos of the University of New Mexico against the Cowgirls of Oklahoma State in a non-conference matchup . Both teams enter the contest with 1-0 records.

SCOUTING THE LOBOS:The Lobos enter tonight’s game with a 1-0 record after a 57-44 road victory at New Mexico State. New Mexico’s leading scorer on the season is sophomore Katie Montgomery with 14.0 ppg, followed by junior Abbie Letz with 11.0 ppg. Letz also leads the team in rebounding with 9.0 rpg. UNM also went 2-0 in the exhibition portion of their schedule with wins over the West Coast All-Stars and NWBL Elite.

SCOUTING THE COWGIRLS:Oklahoma State us coming off an 83-49 home win over Nicholls State in their season opener. The cowgirls are led in scoring by senior Nina Stone with 25.0 ppg, followed by senior Eliz Gomes 13.0 ppg. On the boards, OSU is led by sophomore Christian Hood with 10.0 rpg. Oklahoma State also won two games in the exhibition season over the Oklahoma flyers and Baden Sports.

THE COACHES:UNM is led by head coach Don Flanagan who enters his 10th season at New Mexico. Flanagan is 192-89 at UNM. The Cowgirls are led by Julie Goodenough who is in her third season at OSU and 12th season overall. Goodenough is 17-41 at Oklahoma State and 205-95 overall.
