CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Seniors David Kowalski and Ryan Stotland are going where no Lobo has ever gone before. The 24th-ranked duo will play in the ICY HOT/ITA All-American Championships Main Draw in Chattanooga, Tenn. tomorrow. It will mark the first time any Lobo has ever made it to the finals of a national tournament.
Stotland and Kowalski advanced to the finals with their 8-6 win over Illinois’ Ryler DeHeart and GD Jones, ranked 17th in the nation. The win was their seventh straight, including three consecutive wins over top-20 teams, leaving them at 10-1 for the season.
The tandem will take on Ohio State’s Scott Green and Ross Wilson, ranked 34th nationally, at 10:30 a.m. EDT.
