University of New Mexico junior men’s soccer player Jeff Rowland was named to the Premier Development League’s All-Central Conference team today. Rowland spent the summer playing for the Indiana (South Bend) Invaders and was fifth in the PDL in scoring.
Rowland led the Invaders with 18 goals and seven assists for a total of 43 points in 14 games played. The Invaders posted an 11-5-0 record and were one game away from making the PDL playoffs.
Rowland and the rest of the 28th-ranked Lobos open the 2004 collegiate season on the road against Delaware on September 3 in Richmond, Va. The Lobos will have one home exhibition match against Fort Lewis on Saturday, August 28, at the UNM Soccer Complex at 7:00 p.m. The Lobos regular season home schedule opens on Saturday, September 18, against Columbia at 7:00 p.m. This is Stuff the Stadium night where all tickets are $1.00.
