University of New Mexico men’s soccer player Jeff Rowland has been named to the Premier Development League Team-of-the-Week for his play as a part of the (South Bend) Indiana Invaders. The Invaders split their games last weekend, defeating the Cleveland Internationals (2-1) and falling to the Michigan Bucks (2-0). Rowland, who scored both of Indiana’s goals over the weekend, currently has eight goals and four assists to lead the Invaders in scoring.

Rowland is not without support from UNM as current Lobos Andrew Weber, Lance Watson and Ben Ashwill are all major contributors on the Invader roster. Indiana currently sits in a tie for second place in the Great Lakes Division with a 6-3 record.

Brandon Moss and Patrick Grange are currently suiting up for the Chicago Fire Reserves in the Heartland Division of the PDL. The Fire Reserves are currently undefeated at 10-0 and just one point out of first place in their division. Grange has scored four goals in five games while Moss has a goal and an assist from the backline in seven contests.

Ricky Francis is also playing in the PDL, suiting up for the El Paso Patriots. He has seen action in four games for the 9-3 Patriots.

The PDL is a semi-professional summer league that has the best collegiate players in the country participating. There are 55 teams in eight divisions across the country. For more information on the PDL click here.
