COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.– The No. 29 University of New Mexico women’s tennis team edged out No. 49 UNLV today at the Air Force Academy tennis courts by a 5-2 score. The Lobos won at every doubles position and won four of the six singles points to improve their record to 16-3, 5-0 in the Mountain West Conference. The Rebels fall to 14-6, 4-2 in MWC play.
New Mexico returns to AFA courts tomorrow at 10 a.m.(MDT) to face defending MWC champions No. 73 San Diego State. SDSU currently stands with an overall record of 7-12, 3-2 in the MWC.
