Howard Miller, General Manager of Creamland Dairies, recently presented theUniversity of New Mexico Lobo Club with a check in the amount of$ 15,323.27.
Over a four-week period, New Mexico dairy cases were floodedwith “Lobo Milk.” With the promotion, Creamland’s milk cartons feature aLobo panel that promotes the UNM Lobo Club and Junior Lobo Club. Creamland donates a portion of the proceeds of every half gallon of Lobo Milk sold during the four weeks it’son the shelves.
The promotion has generated over $ 60,000 in support of athleticscholarships for the University of New Mexico over the past four years.
Creamland Dairies, a 67-year-old company, enjoys the relationship with theLobos. “We do see an increase in sales and have even increased the lengthof the promotion because of the success it has had,” Miller said. “Thisis a good deal for both ends.”
