Salt Lake City, Utah – For the first time in Lobo women’s tennis history, a doubles team won the ITA Central Region Championship. UNM’s Sandy Lukowski and Maja Kovacek were seeded no. 6 for the tournament, but came out as no. 1.
The duo will now compete in the doubles draw of 16 at the 2003 ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championship held on November 6-8. The tournament will be played at the Varsity Tennis Center at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
