ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The New Mexico volleyball team swept Delaware (30-20, 30-23, 30-19) to claim the 2003 Comcast Lobo Invitational Saturday night at Johnson Arena. Chelsea Sondrup (So., Lindon, Utah) of UNM was named the tournament MVP, while teammates Anna Reines (Sr., Big Lake, Minn.), Jennifer Heasty (Fr., Westminster, Colo.) and Adah Burke (So., Las Cruces) were named to the All-Tournament Team. Reines led the team with 11 kills against the Blue Hens and Heasty was a force at the net, registering eight blocks.
The Lobos were strong at the net all match against the Blue Hens, tallying a season-high 12.5 blocks as a team.
New Mexico (3-3) will return to action next weekend at the Washington State Cougar Mania Invitational.
