Lobos In the Rankings: The Lobos fell out of the NSCAA Top-25 with the loss to UW-Milwaukee last weekend. However New Mexico remains ranked in the CollegeSoccerNews.com Top-30 (No. 23) and the Soccer America Top-25 (No. 19). This year New Mexico has moved to the far-west region where they are ranked sixth.

Previous Rankings: The Lobos have only been ranked in three previous season. In 1992, UNM climbed as high as No. 17 in the Soccer America Poll for the week of October 20, 1992. In 1997 the Lobos earned their highest ranking in any poll when they reached No. 15 in the Soccer America Top-20 for the week of November 3, 1997. Last season, the Lobos were ranked as high as No. 22 in the NSCAA Top-25 and CollegeSoccerNews.com Top-30.

All-Tournament Team: senior Stian Eriksen, junior Andrew Weber and sophomore Lance Watson were all named to the 2003 Rocky Rococo Adidas Classic all-tournament team last weekend in Madison, Wisc.

Bearcat Connection: Lobo head coach Jeremy Fishbein finished his collegiate playing career with the Cincinnati Bearcats in 1988.

Home Season Openers: The Lobos are 13-5-2 in all-time home season openers.

Ranking Refernce: There are four major polls for Division I men’s soccer. A ranking references the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Top-25 unless the team is not in the NSCAA Top-25. It that case, the ranking refers to the highest ranking from one of other three polls.
