OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – University of New Mexico divers Becca Barras and Tracey Berghian both competed well in the 1-meter springboard event at the 2003 Diving Zone Meet in Oklahoma City, Okla on March 14. Coming off 9th and 15th place performances respectively in the 3-meter the day before, the duo came out strong in the 1-meter as well to round out its showing at the meet.
Barras, who was competing on a severely sprained ankle, managed a strong 21st place finish with a score of 211.90. Berghian placed close behind her teammate in 24th with 208.40 points.
The event concludes the season for the two who garnered MWC Co-Divers of the Year and each cliched a diving title, Berghian in the 3- meter and Barras in the 1-meter, at the MWC Championships in February.
