COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Becca Barras, Tracey Berghian and Robyn Miller headline the list of six UNM swim and dive team members who were honored on the Mountain West Conferences Swimming and Diving All-Conference teams. The trio were named to the first team as a result of their top-three finishes at the MWC Championships in Oklahoma City, Okla. Feb. 19-22. Also given All-Conference recognition were Heather Morsilli, Whitney Thomson, Myra Will and Aimee Duvavant, who received spots on the second team after finishing in the top four though eight positions in an event.
Becca Barras and Tracey Berghian came away from the MWC Championships with top honors and had the best Lobo showings in Oklahoma City. Both earned All-MWC first team honors for their first-place finishes in springboard diving, Barras in the 1-meter and Berghian in the 3-meter. The two also had top placings on the platform. Barras finished second and Berghian was close behind in third.
Robyn Miller not only garnered first-team All-MWC for her third-place finish in the 400 IM, but also received All-MWC second team distinction for placing seventh in the 500 free.
Heather Morsilli placed fifth in the 400 IM, earning her a place on the All-MWC second team, while teammates Whitney Thomson and Myra Will both earned fifth place finishes in their respective events, the 100 back and 50 free, which gave them spots on the second team.
Rounding out the Lobo representation on the All-MWC second team is sophomore Aimee Duvavant. The El Paso, Texas native finished sixth in the 100 fly and eighth in the 200 fly to earn her spot on the all-conference team.
