Albuquerque, NM-The University of New Mexico women’s swimming and diving team is in second place behind San Diego State after the first day of the Lobo Invitational.
The Lobos currently have 235 points trailing San Diego by three points. BYU is in third place with 226.50 points, New Mexico State is in fourth, 184 points, Northern Colorado is in fifth with 117.50 points and Metro State is in sixth with 24 points.
The Lobos had several top performances. In the 500 free two UNM swimmers finished one and two. Robyn Miller was first in a time of 5:05.92 while Nicole Overeem was second with 5:10.36. Miller also finished second in the 200 IM in a time of 2:11.65 and Myra Will was second in the 50 yard free with a time of 23.83.
The Lobos will continue the second day of their invitational on Saturday, Nov., 9th.
