Marv Levy, coaching legend with the Buffalo Bills and former head football coach at the University of New Mexico, was enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday, Aug. 4, at an induction ceremony held in Canton, Ohio.

A coaching icon to Buffalo fans, Levy set a coaching standard by leading the Bills to four-straight AFC titles and four-straight Super Bowl appearances in the early 90s. He was named the NFLs Coach of the Year in 1988 and his 154 wins ranked 10th all-time in the NFL when he retired following the 97 season.

Levys stint at New Mexico began in 1956, when he was an aide to then head coach Dick Clausen for two years. Levy was named head coach at UNM in 1958, and led the Lobos to a 14-6 mark over a two-year span. He was twice named the Skyline Conference Coach of the Year, and he coached UNMs legendary running back Don Perkins, who was an All-American at UNM and a two-time Pro Bowl running back with the Dallas Cowboys.

The six other members inducted into the 2001 class with Levy include Nick Buoniconti, Mike Munchak, Jackie Slater, Lynn Swann, Ron Yary and Jack Youngblood.
