Luka Trdan is in his first season as a volunteer assistant alpine coach. He spent the previous two seasons with the University of New Mexico Ski team as an equipment manager.Trdan is originally from Slovenia and transferred to UNM from the Unviersity of Ljublijana. He has worked with a number of different ski teams during both high school and college, including the ski club in Olimpija where he was responsible for children’s ski school and the youth ski program.
After four years with the Olimpija ski club, he became a coach for the Slovenian Women’s National Team and was promoted from the C team to the A team, where he worked for two years. He has also worked with the Rossignol Ski Company and the Finnish National Team as a service technician.
