New Mexico: Medical redshirt in 2014 after getting injured in game two … was an early arrival in Spring 2014, but sat out camp with an offseason injury … one of the best tacklers on the squad … a 2014-15 Lobo Scholar-Athlete … a 2015 Academic All-Mountain West selection.
2015 (Redshirt Junior Season): Played in all 13 games, starting 12 at safety … was second on the team with 72 tackles, and was tied for second with four passes broken up … also recorded two fumble recoveries and two forced fumbles … had a monster game at San Jose State with a career-high 12 tackles, a pass break up and a tackle for a loss … had four tackles including his first career sack in UNM’s win over New Mexico State … registered nine tackles against Boise State … recorded eight tackles with a forced fumble and a pass break up against Colorado State … recovered a fumble to kill a go-ahead drive in the fourth quarter against Utah State … added four tackles, one for loss and a quarterback hurry in that game … had six tackles in a win over Wyoming … recorded six tackles with a pass break up against Air Force … had nine tackles in the Gildan New Mexico Bowl against Arizona, including a forced fumble and fumble recovery on the third play of the game.
2014 (Junior Season): Played in the opening two games of the season before suffering a torn labrum injury that ended his season … earned a medical redshirt for the season … registered 12 tackles before getting hurt … had seven tackles in the opener against UTEP … followed that up with five tackles against Arizona State before suffering a season-ending injury.
Junior College (Sophomore Season): A 2013 All-Midwest Football Conference selection for Iowa Western … finished with 46 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, one interception, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and nine pass breakups … The Reivers went 11-1 in 2013 and beat Butler Community College in the Graphic Edge Bowl in Cedar Falls, Iowa … was the MFC Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 23 with six tackles (four solos), one interception, one fumble recovery, 1.5 tackles for loss and one pass breakup in IWCC’s 63-6 win over Ellsworth Community College on Oct. 19.
2012 (Freshman Season): Played one season at Weber State University, appearing in 11 games as a true freshman … played special teams, recording three tackles on the year.
High School: Earned All-Coastal League honors at cornerback for the Torreys in 2011 … recorded 29 tackles (nine solos) with 13 pass breakups, one interception, three tackles for loss and two forced fumbles … La Jolla went 7-5 and advanced to the second round of the CIF San Diego Sectional Playoffs in 2011 … attended Horizon Christian Academy in 2010 where he was a teammate of current Lobo defensive back Markel Byrd.
