Women’s Golf Concludes Regular Season at PING/ASU Invitational

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The New Mexico women’s golf team concludes its regular season schedule with its third straight event in Arizona as it travels to Phoenix this week for the PING/ASU Invitational. The event, hosted by Arizona State, will run Friday-Sunday at the 6,543-yard, par-72 Papago Golf Course

The tournament will consist of one round per day, beginning on Friday. Live scoring of the event will be on GolfStat.com.

The Lobos will take on an elite field at the event, where all 17 teams are in the GolfStat Top 100, including eight top-25 teams. New Mexico, ranked No. 42 in the latest rankings, will compete against No. 5 Oregon, No. 6 Mississippi State, No. 8 Texas, No. 11 and host Arizona State, No. 13 USC, No. 14 Baylor, No. 15 Arizona and No. 23 Northwestern. No. 33 Michigan, No. 35 Michigan State and No. 39 California are also in the event, while Colorado, Kansas, Oregon State, Washington and Washington State round out the field.

New Mexico’s lineup for the event is Napat “Jenny” Lertsadwattana, Lauren Lehigh, Myah McDonald, Maria Caparros Levin, and Lisa-Marie Pagliano. Annie Saechueng is playing the event as an individual.

The Lobos have four top-three finishes this season in eight events. UNM has two individual victories with Lertsadwattana winning the Ron Moore Intercollegiate in Colorado in the fall and McDonald winning The Show at Spanish Trail in Las Vegas last month.
