Haulcy Earns Second Freshman All-America, This From CFN

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A.J. Haulcy earned his second Freshman All-America honor, this time being named to First Team College Football Newsd Freshman All-America.  Last week he was named to the Pro Football Focus True Freshman All-America team.  He earlier was a Second Team All-Mountain West pick at safety.

Haulcy, who led all true freshmen in tackles with 87, recorded 24 tackles against Fresno State, the most by any player in a game since 2019, and the most by any player against a non-option team since 2007.  Haulcy finished with 3.0 tackles for loss, two interceptions, three PBUs, two forced a fumbles and a fumble recovery.  Haulcy was twice named the Mountain West Freshman of the Week.
