ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The New Mexico women’s soccer team concludes its non-conference home schedule on Sunday afternoon when it hosts Grand Canyon. The Lobos and Lopes will kick-off at 1:00 p.m. at the UNM Soccer Complex in a game that will be broadcast online on the Mountain West Network.

It is Sunday Funday! at the UNM Soccer Complex with kids receiving free admission with the purchase of an adult ticket. There will also be a postgame autograph session.

The Lobos (1-1-2) are coming off a 1-1 draw with Portland State on Thursday to open the two-game homestand. Natalie DeGagne scored her first goal of the season for New Mexico in that contest. UNM is led by Jadyn Edwards, who has four goals this season to tie for the Mountain West lead.

The Lopes (3-1-1), the reigning WAC Champion, are coming off a 1-0 victory over Arizona on Thursday. GCU is playing its third road match of the season at a Mountain West school, having downed UNLV 3-0 and tying Utah State 3-3 on last week’s road trip.

New Mexico has won all three previous meetings in the series. The Lobos won last year’s meeting in Phoenix, 2-0. The only previous meeting in Albuquerque came in 2017, a 1-0 UNM win.

The Lobos will conclude the non-conference schedule next week with road matches at UC San Diego and UC Riverside.
