Emmanuel Kuac to Miss Reminder of the Season

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – New Mexico junior Emmanuel Kuac will miss the remainder of the 2021-22 season after undergoing successful surgery on his lower left leg Sunday morning. Kuac suffered leg fractures during the second half of Saturday night’s game against Utah State.

Kuac appeared in six games this season, making his first start of the year on Saturday night against the Aggies. He averaged 4.2 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game this season. In the Dec. 21 victory over Norfolk State, Kuac set career highs of 11 points, nine rebounds and three blocks.

The Lobos (7-8, 0-2) return to action on Tuesday as they visit UNLV. Game time in Las Vegas in 9 p.m. MT (8 p.m.PT) and the game will air on CBS Sports Network and the Lobo Radio Network.
