Lobos Add Washington to Schedule; Move Texas Tech to Wednesday

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of New Mexico baseball team has added Washington to its schedule, facing the Huskies in a three-game series in Seattle, Wash. starting Friday. The Lobos picked up this series after a cancelation due to a positive COVID-19 test and the resulting contract tracing within the UNLV program.

The Lobos have been on a brief hiatus this season after quarantining due to a positive COVID-19 test within the program that was accompanied by a mandatory two-week quarantine, forcing two series cancelations.

All three games will be streamed on PAC-12 Plus, and live stats will be available for fans to keep up with each game. Fans can tune in to ESPN Radio 101.7 The TEAM on both Saturday and Sunday to listen in. Below is the schedule for this weekend:

Friday, April 23 – 3 p.m. PT

Saturday, April 23 – 2 p.m. PT

Sunday, April 24 – 1 p.m. PT

This will be the first time the Lobos and the Huskies face off since 1998. Washington currently leads the series 2-5.

After this series, the Lobos will head to Lubbock, Texas, to play No. 5 Texas Tech on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. MT. This game was originally scheduled to take place on Tuesday. Both live stats and a live stream will be available for fans to keep up with the game. You will also be able to keep up with the game by tuning into ESPN Radio 101.7 The TEAM.
