Women's Golf to Host 42nd Branch/McGuire Sunday

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of New Mexico women’s golf team is set to host the 42nd Annual Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational at the 6,317-yard, par-72 UNM Championship Course on Sunday, April 11 through Monday, April 12.

The first two rounds will take place on Sunday with tee times on holes one and 10 starting at 7:30 a.m. Round one will be immediately followed by round two. Round three will tee off at 7:30 a.m. Monday.

Spectators will be permitted at the event and are required to wear masks at all times. Fans can also follow online via GolfStat by clicking HERE.

The event is set to host 12 teams from across the country including No. 22 Arizona, Colorado State, Denver, Grand Canyon, Kansas State, New Mexico State, Northern Arizona, Pepperdine and Washington. Two Mountain West squads will join the Lobos in the field including UNLV and Wyoming.

The New Mexico lineup is set to feature sophomore Napat “Jenny” Lertsadwattana, senior Caroline Jansson, sophomore Lauren Lehigh, freshman Myah McDonald and sophomore Chloé Lauer.

Lertsadwattana has led the Lobos so far this season in all but one tournament. In UNM’s last outing, it was Lehigh that turned in a career performance finishing 10th with a career-low score of 71 in round three.

A trio of Lobos, including redshirt-senior Reva Morris, senior Serena Chon and junior Kamie Hamada, will also be competing as individuals.

The 42nd Annual Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational marks the 65th year that UNM has hosted a women’s golf event, dating back to 1956 in conjunction with the William H Tucker Invitational hosted by the UNM men’s team.
